Amanda McConnell
Annalisa Traina
Amanda McConnell, LCSW is a psychotherapist and consultant working with individuals, couples and families to enhance relationships and promote success in the workplace. Amanda works in the Liberty Corner office and offers off site services. She is experienced with inpatient and outpatient treatment.
She worked with a multidisciplinary team in an inpatient psychiatric hospital treating adults, adolescents, and older adults. Amanda is adept at trauma and crisis counseling, family work and navigating the health care system. She is experienced with persons of every age dealing with addictions.
Experience and training in outpatient treatment include individual and family therapy, substance abuse counseling, relapse prevention and collaboration with other professionals in a family service agency. Amanda has also worked with developmentally disabled clients, providing advocacy and creative arts therapy.
Amanda has facilitated groups on topics of health, mental health, disabilities, addictions and aging. She is trained in EMDR Level I for treatment of trauma.
Amanda is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the New Jersey Society for Clinical Social Work.
A graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work with a Master
of Science in Social Work, Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
in the State of New Jersey.
Annalisa Traina, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker experienced in individual, family and group psychotherapy. Annalisa received a Master of Social Work from Fordham University, with a clinical concentration in mental health and family therapy with culturally diverse clients. She completed her training for certification as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Annalisa is experienced in treating adults, adolescents and geriatric clients with co-occurring psychiatric and addictions disorders, including clients who are receiving psychopharmacologic treatment.
Annalisa practiced in a hospital setting for six years as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing psychiatric and addictions treatment to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. She has worked with children ages 5-18 in a residential treatment setting.
She has expertise in mood disorders, trauma, crisis intervention and dual diagnosis treatment. Her strengths are advocating for patient care and providing intensive family therapy and education. Annalisa was integral in development and implementation of a progressive dual-diagnosis inpatient program, and served as clinical social work supervisor on the adult psychiatric and addictions unit.
In addition to maintaining a private practice in Liberty Corner, Annalisa is a group facilitator for an outpatient women's program for wellness, trauma and addictions treatment. She is also a Level II EMDR practitioner. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is used in treatment of anxiety and trauma related disorders
A member of the National Association of Social workers since 1996, Annalisa
is licensed to practice psychotherapy in NJ, and is a NJ Board of Social
Work Examiners approved Clinical Supervisor.
